COVID-19 Announcement

To Our Patients:


We hope this message finds you healthy and well. Our practice is preparing to welcome you back on May 11, 2020, for all of your eye health needs, including routine care. While we have not been able to perform routine care for our patients during this pandemic, we have remained open for any urgent or emergency eye care needs. We've also been available to help our patients with contact lens and glasses orders as well as any frame adjustments that have been needed. Though this pandemic has been trying for everyone involved, it has helped us to look at ways to streamline our office to help make your exam experience even better.

​​​​​​​The COVID-19 pandemic is changing the way everyone interacts and does business with each other. We are sending out this email to inform you of the additional steps we have taken to protect you, our patients, while you are in our office for care. Our main concern is the safety of our patients, our doctors, and our staff. With that in mind, here's what we are doing to streamline your visit, minimize exposure, and look after your safety:

What can you expect from your visit?

  • ​​​​​​​To limit the number of patients in our office we have decided to lock our exterior door. When you arrive, please call or text our main office number (402-371-8535) and a staff member will let you in.

  • When you come for your exam we will require all patients to wear a mask. Due to the short supply of masks, nationwide, we ask that you bring your own.

  • We will check your temperature and ask you to complete a short COVID-19 questionnaire

  • We ask that you then either wash your hands or use hand sanitizer prior to taking you back to the exam room.

  • Our doctors and staff will also have temperatures checked daily as well as wear surgical masks at all times.

  • To limit exposure and streamline your visit, a member of our staff will be contacting you the day before your visit to go over your eye and health history

  • We ask that only the patient enter our office. Friends and family members are asked to stay home or wait outside (unless their help is needed).


What steps have we taken to minimize the risks of COVID-19 exposure?

  • We use hospital-grade disinfectants to clean and sanitize all surfaces and instruments after every patient.

  • We use hospital-grade disinfectants to clean and sanitize all Frames following each patient's use.

  • Every staff member is required to wash their hands before and after every patient contact.

  • We have installed breath shields and sneeze guards throughout the office to protect our patients and staff.

  • We have removed and spaced seating in our waiting area to encourage social distancing.

  • We have a hand sanitizer located throughout the office for your use.
